Mamiko Wada creates delicately shaped vases and tableware using an electric wheel. Her exquisite throwing skill especially stands out in her tiny flower vases. Wada’s ceramics are all meant to be used in an everyday life. She sees her extremely small decorative vases as containers for small individually picked leaves. Another characteristic of her ceramics is the richness of her palette of glazes which consists of nuanced colours reminiscent of fabrics naturally dyed with flowers and plants.
