Nariko Matsuoka’s glass pieces are the result of many complex processes. All the pieces are first hand-blown. The motifs are then painted by hand onto the glass and fired several times to fix each of the colours separately, using variety of enamels and lustres. With her finely drawn and multicoloured imaginary world she makes the adorable and humorous animal characters on her glasses come alive. Her unique storytelling work bring warmth and smile to our daily life.
